Pop musician Davido has opened up about his nomination for the just ended 66th Grammy Awards, saying that it was reason enough to feel proud of himself.
The Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles hosted this year’s Grammy Awards last Sunday evening.

Along with other Nigerian nominees, first-time Grammy nominee Davido was not successful in winning any of the three categories in which he was nominated.

But when Davido talked about his rise to fame in an online Rolling Stone interview, he recalled his father telling him that despite his loss, he is still a legend.

“Merely receiving a nomination makes me feel good about myself. Initially, all I want is for my song to be played on the radio once or twice; nonetheless, it’s incredible and entirely God’s doing that it has reached this level.
“No matter what happens, son, you are still a legend,” my father told me over the phone yesterday. He is a huge fan, so yes,” he remarked.
